His plan is to communicate info to the U.S. populace through the Internet with Social Media and Web 2.0 methods. This plan came to fruition at the Gov 2.0 Summit held not so long ago. Vivek Kundra, Federal Chief Information Officer
Vivek Kundra is now practicing his experience for the important job of Federal Chief Information Officer. The expertise acquired during his time as Chief Technology Officer for District of Columbia imparts to the Gov 2.0 initiatives he is fulfilling as part of the Obama Administration. He wants the government Information Technology efforts utilizing private sector programs to be conducive factors to theefficient dissemination of information.
Vivek Kundra employs his Information Technology experience to supervise U.S. government funded technology investments. Before becoming the first Federal Chief Information Officer of the Federal Government back in March 2009, Vivek Kundra was CTO for Washington D.C. and Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Technology for Virginia. He is well on the course to modifying the national, and possibly worldwide, view of how government interacts with its citizens.
